It’s a great course and the more you can focus on it, the better you’ll do in future courses. It teaches a lot about learning strategies, critical thinking skills, and it helps you get familiar with online learning, as well as the environment at UoPeople.

Cheers!

It’s me again (I just left another comment on other of your posts). I’d like having your opinion: Should I register an additional course (let’s say, CS 1101) besides Online Education Strategies (UNIV 1001 – my first course as Degree seeking Student)?

The same as you, I don’t have any rush and I plan to register just one course per term, specially because I have a lot of work these days. But is Online Education Strategies a time-consuming course?

Thanks,

Gabriel

When I was looking into UoPeople myself I couldn’t find a blog like this which is partly why I started this – to give more insight to student life at this, still relatively new school. Drop me an email anytime, I have yours now too.

Cheers!

the closer it gets to the submission deadline the busier admissions gets. It can sometimes take a few days before they get back to you, but they do get back to everyone.

I’m trying to get in touch with my Admissions Adviser because I had a few questions before submitting my application. I did receive an email from [email protected], asking me to email her for assistance, but I have not heard back from her after sending her my transcript. Can anyone here help me get in touch with the university?

Thanks!!

Like you UoPeople is one of the best things I’ve come across. I strongly believe quality education at all levels – not just elementary – should be a right, and not a privilege. Good luck on becoming a future student, Cheers!

This is Sohali, hopefully a future student, and I have to say that UoPeople is one of the best things I’ve come across in my life. It’s an amazing concept and I know people around the world will begin to benefit from it. I come across education-hungry people, on a daily basis, who do not have the opportunities to achieve their dreams. I hope UoPeople will become a world leader in honoring higher education by making it ‘available’ to those who desire it. All the best to the students and the institution for a better and brighter future.

I think an active instructor in the classroom is a really important part of having a meaningful discussion. Good luck this term! And thanks for the comment 🙂

Cheers,

Dan

I am an instructor for Educational Strstegies at UoPeople. I have also noticed a trend for a lack of meaningful feedback and am currently addressing it in my classes. Now that I have your perspective as a student, I will definitely continue to give it more attention.

Feedback is ALWAYS a good thing. Good luck on all your future endeavors.
